A Shabby Chic Birthday Card with Lace

Hello everyone,

Just a quick post of a card I made for my next door neighbor and a very good friend:


I used two layers of patterned paper for my base, distressed the edges on both and printed a computer generated sentiment.


I used a doily die cut, handmade rolled flowers, brand die cuts and some lace to create this shabby design.


One more look at the finished card...

  10. Gorgeous card and love the colour palette,lace and beautiful flowers-I do admire how you manage to make such a beautiful card without an image in sight -I do struggle to make a card without an digi lol-maybe because I started off stamping -I am so out of my comfort zone without a digi lol

  26. Your neighbor is one lucky lady!!! This card is shabby chic elegence! Do you have a tutorial on your rolled flowers? I tried it once but mine looked like dead seaweed left out in the salty sand For 3 years....? Your cards are always so very divine dearie! Hugz to you muffin! ~Niki

    1. Thank you my dear! No tutorial on the rolled flowers, but there are some pretty good ones on Youtube, that is how I learned how to make them, just practice and throw away what does not turn out ok....
